No more dragging a file by hand after buying a license. The email, the purchase-completion page, and the admin dashboard all got a new "⚡ One-click activation" button — click it and the browser launches Voilà straight into activation, the whole thing takes under a second. If your client is a bit older, or one-click activation gets blocked in some environment, the old "Download activation file" button is still there as a fallback, and works just as well.

The other change is under Settings → Audio. A new "Pre-warm microphone" toggle: on by default, keeping the original low-latency first-recording experience; turn it off and Voilà stops holding the microphone while idle, and the orange recording indicator in the macOS status bar disappears too. This toggle mainly serves two kinds of users — those who are privacy-conscious and don't want the indicator lit all the time, and those on macOS 14.x who occasionally get echo when playing video while Voilà runs in the background; turning off pre-warm avoids that entirely.

The Volcengine connection test can now tell you exactly what went wrong. Previously, an incorrect AppID/Access Key just reported a generic "Connection timeout"; now it passes through the server's actual handshake error — wrong credentials, the ASR product not being enabled, or a network issue — obvious at a glance, saving you half an hour of guesswork.

A few other small things got cleaned up too: the menu-bar icon's orange state used to mean "the engine isn't ready" and now only lights up when a provider actually has a connection problem, cutting down on false alarms; activation URLs now get a replay queue for cold-start scenarios, preventing a startup race from swallowing the activation dialog; and reactivating a license under the same email no longer prompts you unnecessarily — only switching to a different email triggers a confirmation. Small details, but they make day-to-day use a bit smoother.
